Exploring the Top 50 Generative AI Consumer Companies: List Inspired by Olivia Moore’s a16z Article
If you’re plugged into the world of AI and consumer software, you most likely saw Olivia Moore’s fantastic blog post published on a16’s website, entitled “How Are Consumers Using Generative AI?” If you haven’t, go read it now — click the previous link.
The report dives into the top 50 generative AI companies based on website traffic, with Moore providing amazing takeaways. It’s a comprehensive guide for anyone interested in understanding the current landscape of consumer generative AI.
I was surprised by some of the companies on the list. The reaction led me to explore the websites I hadn’t heard of and the fundraising information for the ones I had, which subsequently inspired me to develop an automated script to collect information about all the companies/websites. The end result? The list below. I initially made it for internal review, but I realized it could serve as a resource for others who read the article and had a similar curiosity.
Below, is a curated list of companies, along with brief descriptions and links, as they appear in Olivia Moore’s blog post. Please note that some of the categories do not align with the ones in the article.
I highly recommend reading Olivia’s original A16z article (link here) to get the full picture, and then feel free to use this post as a navigational tool.
