VC has been dried out by the tax rule that disallows deduction of R&D software engineering salaries in the year they were incurred. That impacts every tech company , especially big ones, and that dried out the M&A pipeline and the value of startups that didn’t make it (NOLs would be a lot bigger without the rule change) If that is repealed, the sector may see life again, but partly because of AI it’s never going to be the same as before. Founders don’t need as many people to grow and VC funding has gotten far worse terms with the high interest rates.

I have clicked on half a dozen of the websites here. Every one of them is a tech's "work of art". Truly competent stuff. I keep asking myself: "how many people did it take to build this site?" A bit later, I ROFL — quite maniacally.
